Description
Suede is a type of leather with a napped finish, commonly used for jackets, shoes, shirts, purses, furniture and other items. The term comes from the French “gants de Suède”, which literally means “gloves from Sweden”. Suede is made from the underside of the animal skin, which is softer and more pliable than, though not as durable as, the outer skin layer. Supple, textured and rustic, suede is a fantastic material to pair with a vintage watch with a nice dial full of patina.
Every strap gets its own individual patina, which is something we love. Please don’t treat the leather with oil or wax as it ruins the whole nature of the strap. This also comes with a warning: avoid direct contact with water, as it may cause stains. So don’t wear your strap in the shower or when swimming and be cautious of heavy rain or perspiration.
